White Rabbit Gets a Fresh Start in Peacemaker’s Opening Episode
In the very first episode, Christopher Smith—better known as Peacemaker—finds himself sitting down for an interview with Maxwell Lord, Guy Gardner, and Hawkgirl of the Justice Gang. But before things kick off, he spots a woman storming out of the room in frustration. That woman turns out to be White Rabbit. The lighthearted moment reveals that she overheard Maxwell Lord making fun of her, thanks to a glitchy speaker system, setting the tone for the show’s quirky humor.
White Rabbit, originally created by David Finch and Paul Jenkins, made her debut in Batman: The Dark Knight #1 back in 2011. In the comics, Jaina Hudson was a flashy but relatively minor villain who never caused Batman much trouble. The new series gives her a fresh twist: while her eccentric and flamboyant costume remains intact, she’s reimagined as a would-be hero trying to prove herself.
