The floods have also wreaked havoc in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, where at least 10 and 12 people have died, respectively, along with large-scale destruction of property and infrastructure.

KP faced a tragic day on Friday when heavy rains and cloudbursts triggered flash floods across multiple districts, claiming over 225 lives in just one day. Among the victims were five crew members of a provincial government helicopter that crashed in Mohmand during rescue operations.

According to a PDMA situation report, Buner was the worst-hit, losing 184 lives in the last 48 hours. Other affected districts include Shangla (36 deaths), Mansehra (23), Swat (22), Bajaur (21), Battagram (15), Lower Dir (5), and Abbottabad, where a child drowned.
