Journalist Khawar Hussain Found Dead in Sanghar, Probe Underway

 SANGHAR: Khawar Hussain, a young journalist associated with a private news channel, was found dead in his car on Saturday with a gunshot wound to the head, police confirmed.


According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanghar, Abid Baloch, Hussain’s body was discovered in a vehicle


parked outside a restaurant on Hyderabad Road. He initially suggested the case appeared to be a suicide, but later clarified that no conclusive evidence had been established. The cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem report.


First responders reported that Hussain was found slumped in the driver’s seat with a pistol in his hand. Rescue teams reached the site swiftly, while police sealed off the area and launched an investigation.


Hussain, originally from Sanghar, had been based in Karachi for nearly a decade, working with several media organisations.



The incident drew immediate attention from Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, who directed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ghulam Nabi Memon to assign top investigators to the case. He also expressed condolences to the bereaved family and instructed officials to provide them full support.
